H1N1 Resources for Public Media
FluPortal.org is here to help public media stations cover the H1N1 pandemic both on air and online. We’re also working with stations and other organizations to develop web tools, insights, and best practices to support public media coverage of future health (and other) crises.
Look here for:
- News, information, and data from the Centers for Disease Control, Health and Human Services, the World Health Organization, and other government and non-governmental organizations (here)
- Content and widgets you can post on your station’s website (here)
- Ideas and resources for covering the pandemic in your state and local community (here)
- Local and national reports about H1N1 from across the public media system (here)
- Original guides to social media and other web tools that you can use to cover H1N1 or any other crisis (here)
The FluPortal blog highlights the latest H1N1 developments relevant to the public media system.
We’re using FluPortal’s Delicious account (RSS feed here) to bookmark good articles, audio, and video that might inform your H1N1 coverage. If you have something to add, send it to us.
We want to hear from you. How is your station covering the pandemic? What can FluPortal offer to serve your on-air and online efforts? Let us know.
